Committed to Caring for the Bullitt County Community

Located on a 19-acre campus, UofL Health – Medical Center South provides outpatient services and 24/7 emergency care to residents in fast-growing Bullitt County and the surrounding service area including Southern Jefferson County, Spencer, Nelson, Meade and Hardin counties. The facility includes a 48,000 square-foot medical center and a 25,000 square-foot medical office building.

The medical center offers a full range of services, including 24/7 emergency care, chest pain observation services, outpatient surgery, 3D mammography, and diagnostics/medical imaging. The medical office building houses both primary care and specialty physician offices, a Frazier Rehab Institute outpatient rehab facility and the Larry Belcher Community Room which can be scheduled for use by local community group on a complimentary basis.

Unique to the facility and creating a calming patient care environment is its artwork that reflects the nearby Bernheim Forest. Prior to its opening in 2006, eight artists were commissioned through the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft to create art that identifies nature as a calming, reassuring healing force, and represents the regeneration of life through the changes of the seasons. The art exhibited is intended to offer encouragement to patients, their families, and to health care providers as they receive, give care or accompany loved ones.

Supporting Medical Center South and patients in the Bullitt County area are UofL Physicians primary care physicians and specialists including cardiology, gastroenterology, general surgery, orthopedics and vascular surgery. Providers are located both on the Medical Center South campus and in nearby communities.
