Uzoma Anele, M.D.

I am a reconstructive urologist with UofL Health, and my areas of interest include male genitourinary reconstruction and prosthetics, pelvic cancer survivorship, male urinary incontinence, robotic surgery, urethral stricture disease, urinary fistulas and neurogenic bladder. I earned my medical degree at the University of Maryland after completing my undergrad career at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. I went on to complete a fellowship at the James Buchanan Brady Urological Institute at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in NIH-funded urologic research. I then completed an internship in General Surgery and residency training in Urologic Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University. I then went on to complete a fellowship in genitourinary reconstructive surgery and prosthetic surgery at the Glickman Urological & Kidney Institute, Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Now at the University of Louisville, I serve as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology and the Director of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery.
